But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Brother Calvin was saying: God loves us proactively.. yes.. as he was sharing, my tears almost rolled down my cheeks..
In the beginning, God created Adam and Eve, and allowed them to live happily and without worries of the world in the Garden of Eden with God (before the fall).. to enjoy the fellowship with the God Almighty who created the universe.
God our Lord came to Moses and instructed him to lead his people the Israel out of Eygpt... God was with them all the times, but the people denied his presence...
God then came in the form of a human being - Jesus. He came in a humble way, ministering to people, healing people, preaching and teaching... transforming lives of many.. yet.. men, God's very own creation in his likeness accused of him and brought him to his death.. a terrible death on the Cross of Calvary..
God did not give up in demostrating his unfailing love to us.. He gave us the Holy Spirit that whoever acknowledge that Christ is Lord and Saviour, will receive the Holy Spirit.. He will give us the conviction and profess God until the Day of Jesus Christ!!
Brothers and Sisters, God is always faithful, God is unfailing.. It's often that we often fail God and He has unfailingly and patiently waiting for us to run back to Him!
Father Lord, thank you for you unfailing love despite our trangressions against you!
