Walking closer to Him

Father Lord, I just hope to draw near to you and seek to worship you with all my heart, mind, soul and strength. Let me not just talk but walk the talk.. The flesh is weak but with God, all things are possible, right Father?

Sister Joyce gave me a 'thank-you' card yesterday to thank me for my encouragement.. Well.. i'm not being legalistic or acting holy but.. it's reallie not my glory but God's glory that I am able to share some words of encouragement with her.

Indeed, Jesus had not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance (Luke 5:32). No one is perfect till the day of Christ. So let's press on and continue to embrace and witness to the 'yet-to-be' brothers and sisters and embrace them.

Encouraging and helping others are often much easier than walking the talk myself. Unfortunately, I've been feeling very uneasy with myself lately. Although I'm able to abstain myself from certain unhealthy (sinful) acts for quite awhile (by God's Grace). But there're still certain unmet needs and unresolved issues in my heart..

Abba Father, my self-worth issue has always been bothering and it is very very intense lately... what should I do, Lord Father? Please help me.. Draw me close to you, Lord. For no one else who touches my heart like you do.

Abba Father, I always feel that I am that lost son of Yours, for 21 years, I was hid away from you and lived in Eygpt.. Lord, you told me that there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than nine righteous persons who do not need to repent (Luke 15:7).

You called me out into Your Promised Land.

You told me that You are the Lord, and You will bring me out from the yoke of the Egyptians. You will free me from being slaves to them, and You will redeem me with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. You will take me as your own people, and You will my God. Then I will know that You are the Lord your God, who brought me out from under the yoke of the Egyptians (Exodus 6:6-7)

1.5 years had gone by... My broken heart is getting healed by Your love, grace and mercy. Lord, you are Healer of hearts, Binder of wounds, and because of you, lives that were once lost, now restored!

Lord, You've delivered me out of Egypt and helped me to re-discover and work on every issue in my life. Lord, You're my anchor and my redeemer. Who else could do that?! No one!

Thank you Lord Father. May I be your faithful servant and obedient child! May Your Spirit continue to convict me to glorify you always.

May I look to You O Lord, and Your Strength; May I always seek Your face, and remember the wonders you've done (Psalm 105:4-5)

Thank you Lord!

In Jesus Name, Amen.
