You can do it!

This morning, I woke up very early after 3 hours of rest. I woke up to greet mum and wanted to spend some time having breakfast with her before she goes to work. Hmmm.. but I still missed the chance to meet her this morning as she has left very early to work.

Well, never mind, I have apportioned this evening for Mum, Dad and Sis before I go over to Covenant Vision Center for the Watch Night Service. Praise be to God that this is the first New Year Eve in my 23 years of life to be at a Christian gathering. J

Anyway, then being a very wonderful brother in Christ, I dropped Bro. Cam a message to greet him and wish him a blessed trip back to KL. Hee… I have always been very nice… Haha *applause*

Not very humble huh! Well, to be truthful, it’s God’s glory that I am able to be who I am today. I claim no glory or merit for that. =)

Then I can’t sleep so I decided to do my Quiet Time (QT) and I uttered a prayer to bless my family as they set off to work and prayed for Bro Cam.

Then as I flipped my Daily Bread, I read “You can do it”. The reading verses are from Romans 7:15-25. In order to read in context and understand, I read the entire chapter 7 of Romans. It talked about “Struggling With Sins”.

I thought WELL DONE... It was simply awesome. Still remembered my last night’s entry: You are His Heir? I shared about being obedient to God despite suffering. Yes, I have decided to walk out of my sins and now struggling very hard.
I need God's power which is made perfect in my weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9)

I also shared about the overnight prayer on 9 January 2006 at Covenant Vision Center. I thought God has affirmed my invitation to all of you who are keen to join me in overcoming our strongholds. =)

The author put it very well: “Are you struggling to break some stubborn habit? Like Paul, you can be an overcomer. If you know that the Lord Jesus as your Saviour, victory is possible through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit (in us)…”

Immediately, I exclaimed a big “AMEN” for that. Father God knows exactly just when to affirm His children.. hee... =)
Praise be to God.

Let me close this morning entry with a statement of encouragement from Complin in today's Daily Bread devotion:
I have tried and I have struggled.
From my sin to be set free;
Not by trying BUT THROUGH TRUSTING
Jesus gives the victory.
Indeed, let’s think less of the power of things over us, and MORE of the power of Christ in us.

As Paul has written in Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
May God's wisdom be imparted to each and every one of us through the fellowship of His Holy Spirit.
Be blessed.
