Friendship Day 2006

Dajie is forever so sweet. She showed her love for her brothers and sisters by giving us a row of Ferrero Rocher each on this Friendship Day...

However, I just recovered from my illness. So I think I wouldnt be touching it for a long long time.. Hee.. Also, I'm embarking on fasting and prayer again.. How long? Hmm... I guess it would be as long as the Holy Spirit leads bah, this time of fasting and prayer is meant for strengthening my self-control (fruit of the Spirit - Galatians 5:22-23) to overcome strongholds, relying fully on my Lord Jesus Christ for my issues, and also for my health.

This afternoon, I went to Singapore Press Holdings to collect the information pack for my team's Selection and Assessment Project, and I met up with Nancy, the Senior Vice President of HR Division in SPH. She is an unassuming Christian lady, without airs. hee.. She carried with her a big heavy pack of materials, sat down and explained everything in the information pack to me patiently. Oh man, in my opinion, this is what true leaders, just like Earn Meng and Brother Chin Nam and other Brothers and Sisters in Christ who hold senior positions in the corporate world.

Today was a tiring yet fulfilling day. I was tempted to watch Brokeback Mountain again when Sunny asked me if I wanted to watch it with Celia and Laura. But he didnt know what is the theme of this movie. When I told him the theme of this movie, he also forbidded me from watching.. Haha.. This brother arh.. Also so sweet.. So caring.. hee...

Brother Richie also called to check if I'm doing fine. Hee.. Thanks Brother Richie..

Anneh was not doing quite well, will be praying for him and encouraging him. He is a wonderful child of God but this lifestyle has really "crippled" his walk with the Lord so badly so badly. May the Lord have mercy on him and shorten his suffering in this area of struggles. Sometimes we need to pick ourselves up, no matter how tired or discouraged we could be and walk in the way of the Lord. Because He is with us, He will strengthen us.

We must do our best by cutting ties off the old lifestyle completely i.e. let our hands off the chains of sins), because without doing this, the Lord would never be able to do the rest. If we continue to hold on to the chains of sins and if Father God is to strike on the chains to break free us, we would be badly hurt too. So we should let go and let God!

After preparing the Employment Law presentation slides, I decided to spend a little time to blog. Blogging is a form of expressing my emotions and letting my friends and everyone who cares and loves me to know how I am doing.

Just as Brother Cam Yew pointed out very aptly, he is right that I don't normally express myself through speech, at least for most cases. I love to express myself through a medium and blogging is a cool way to do so!

Wow. Rays of the evening Sun reflected from the glass panel opposite Pacific Coffee just shined onto my face, suddenly I felt that I'm basking in the Love of the Son - full of hope and conviction!! Despair no more for the Lord has overcome this world and we, as His children, will be victorious too. Hallelujah!

Will be doing my Door of Hope shortly after I publish this entry. Today, upon completion of the lesson, the Lord and I would be 1/3 through the 60 days course!!!

I would finish it with faith and hope in Christ Jesus. =)

Thanksgiving and Praise be to God!

Tonight, I will need to rest early because tomorrow I have 10 hours of lesson marathon from 0830hrs to 2130hrs (13 hours) with only 3 hours break in between! And out of the staggered 3 hours break, majority of the time will be used to discuss Employment Law presentation which is due tomorrow..
