Hi brothers and sisters in Christ, and friends,
I greet you in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Shalom!
I'm back from my little retreat. How have you guys been? I've been away for a short while.
Some updates about myself:
1. I've Graduated
By the grace of the Father in Heaven, I formally graduated from my tertiary education with Bachelor of Business (specialised in Human Resource Consulting) with Minor in Chinese.
All glory and praise be to God.
2. Global Day of Prayer on Pentecost Sunday
It was a very wonderful and ministering worship and prayer service attended by some 24,000 Christians residing in Singapore! Will share more in my subsequent entries.
3. NS Life
I've been very busy with the Singapore Armed Forces Day Parade at SAFTI Military Institute. Busy but fulfilling time there. I've known a few nice people in camp, people like Alex, Xin Wei, and some drivers. Seriously without them, life will be so boring!! Thanks for all the crappy jokes.. hahaha.. so funny!!!!!!! I laughed until stomach cramped leh.. haha...
The next thing I wana do will be to start driving.. haha.. =p
4. World HR Congress
I recently attended the 11th World HR Congress held at Expo Singapore 30 May to 1 Jun 2006. It was a very eye-opening session esp the 12-points "sermon" made by Professor Dave Ulrich - a HR guru from the University of Michigan, perhaps I could do my MBA (Human Capital Management) under his supervision. Heehee.. He's simply great, a servant of God who just returned from his 3-yr sabbatical leave to do the work of God, now back to corporate and academic world, pushing the frontier of HR! Wow!
5. Restoring my Heart
God has done much in my life lately as I struggled through some trying moments, some issues and struggles are put into perspective by my beloved "Reverend" Brother Spidey Calvin and of course, more importantly than everything else, the prompting and guidance of the Holy Spirit of the Living God.
I've been reading books on Christian manhood and restoring heart in camp when I've no work. I've finished reading books such as "God's Man of Influence" and "Man after God's own heart" by Jim George, and "The 5 Love Languages for singles" by Gary Chapman. I am now reading "Waking the Dead" and " Wild at Heart" by John Eldredge.
More books to be read, at the same time, I am putting more effort to read the bible.. haha.. the most important of all!! =)
Looking forward to approach the throne of grace - Throne of God on Sozo Weekend in June & DEW Ministry in July!
Father, I'll be there! I long to meet you there!
6. Alpha Ministry @ PMC
My home Church (Pentecost Methodist Church) is organising our very first Alpha course and I am looking to be involved as a member helping out as a co-facilitator for a small group. See how the Lord leads. =) First time serving in a ministry - exciting and alot to be learnt, first of all, to continue to strive an intimate relationship with God while serving Him and His people. =)
7. PMC's 74th Anniversary
Last Sunday was Pentecost Sunday, it was also my Church's 74th Anniversary and Building Extension Dedication Service. I am so excited to see my Church growing and reaching out to the community.
I'll keep going, so brothers and sisters, ples keep praying with me and for me.. =)
Shalom.
