Worthy worthy are You Lord!

Worthy worthy are You Lord!

Family Portrait

Today is my convocation day and I was very proud to don the Graduand Robe with the nice hood representing Business Graduate of Nanyang Technological University. Yes, indeed it is one of the proudest moments in my life.

My beloved Dad, Mum, Younger Sister Grace and a Sister in Christ, Huifen were with me this morning. Many course mates and buddies were with me too! Roomie Eugene came too! My dear Brother Cam called me up yesterday to congratulate me and this morning, he messaged to congratulate me again.. Seems like he's more happy and excited for me than I am for myself.. haha.. Thanks Brother! :)

The speaker who addressed the Business Graduates this morning was Mr. Seck Wai Kwong, the Senior Executive Vice President of the Singapore Exchange. He delivered his speech to the Business Graduates of the Class of 2006, NTU by summing up three key points:

1. Be Patient
2. Keep Learning
3. Give Something Back

Seriously, I was moved by his speech. It sinks deeply into my inner man.

Even as I approached the stage to receive the honour as a fresh graduate, I was praying to God and thanking Him for His goodness and faithfulness. I was very proud for I've managed to come thus far.. Yes, I walked with my head lifted up and I smiled! :)

Thanksgiving

At the same time, I was humbled by the very fact that I owed my "success" to the following people:

1. The Lord God Almighty - my Lord, my Saviour, my Master, my King, my Father! I thank the Lord for predestinating me, calling me and justifying me into His Kingdom as His child that I may have abundance of love and all other spiritual blessings installed for me at heavenly places.

I thank Lord Jesus for dying for me that I may have a chance to be righteous before my Creator as the precious blood of the Lamb of God cleansed me of my iniquities and forgive me of my trangressions against Him.

I thank the Lord for His Holy Spirit that I may find refuge, comfort, guidance and solitude in my many difficult moments through my uni life. He has also showered me with much supernatural favours that I could get to experience so much in the last three years, knowing what I want in life and enjoying what I am doing!

Thanksgiving and Praise be to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit!

2. My parents and sister who have given me moral and emotional support esp. for my Mum. But I want to honour both my Dad and Mum as well for they have been there providing the basic needs of my life for as many years as I've lived on this earth. :") I am proud that they share this moment of honour and glory.

3. My closest relatives: Mummy, 4th Uncle, Aunt Seah, Aunt Irene, Aunt Yen, and many more of you out there who have supported me morally and financially. Seriously, if not for my many relatives, I wouldnt have a peace of mind in school. :) Thanks Aunts and Uncles!

4. Sister Huifen for walking with me and supporting me emotionally and showering me with so many gifts and words of encouragement for the last 7 years. God is good to bring us into His Kingdom with everything He has done and is still doing and will be doing in your life! May all of us, by His Grace, continue to walk in His righteousness now into eternity. :)

5. Many NTU friends who have walked through thick and thin with me for the last three years. Dajie, Daniel, Ade, Angel, Sam, Jamie, my HR peers, and many other friends around me, guiding me, supporting me, working with me, rallying alongside with me and around me, cheering me on that I may finish the race of tertiary education and enjoyed every moment of my uni life! It is perhaps the most unforgettable phase of my life as I made many close friends and true friends!

Esp to my Dajie, who has been my mentor, my coach, my comrade and my spiritual partner in NTU. You're godsend to me! :) I shared ur joy and I am so proud of you, dajie! In the name of Jesus, the Lord's blessings continue to shower you and your family. May you continue to be our Lord Jesus Christ's faithful and true disciple, being His light and salt and bear witness for our Lord and Saviour into the nations and kingdoms as the Holy Spirit leads and empowers you.

6. My Christian Band of Brothers Brother Calvin, Brother James, Brother Tai Chin, Brother Cam Yew, Brother Linus, Brother Ramesh, Brother Richard, Brother Chun Rong, Brother Daryl, Brother Shawn Tay, Brother Reuben, Brother Alex, Brother Sean and Brother Francis for praying with me and for me throughout my uni life!!

Some Thoughts

This marks the beginning of the new phase of life for me, as I am entering into the workforce in a month's time. It will be challenging and exciting. I definitely look forward to it!! Workplace Ministry it shall be. :)

More importantly, as I went to Singapore Campus Crusade's Gen 12II Thanksgiving Service, I am burdened by the Lord that He wants me to be part of His Mission Ministry.

I never knew I have a burdened heart for God's mission works until lately, I became to receive an impression that the Lord wants me to play two roles in His mission works: 1) Fund Supporter and 2) Prayer Warrior.

As I am not called to go to the mission fields as yet (but I am looking forward to). For the time being, I will continue to fulfil His Great Commission (Matt 28), making disciples and baptizing them in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all the things that Jesus our Lord has commanded us within Singapore!

I was at the thanksgiving service on Monday evening, I just sensed that the Lord has raised a Joshua Generation to be His vessels of blessings, going forth sharing the good news of God's Kingdom, bringing the lost souls to the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and discipling His sheeps in the less reached lands.

Praise be to God! Let not our will, but Thine be done!

Even as I was making my trip to Malaysia last week, I also felt so burdened to pray for Malaysia during the forward and returning trip, and I know that the Lord has raised, is raising and will be raising up a group of God-fearing men and women, mature Christians to further His Kingdom in Malaysia, people like Brother Cam Yew and Brother Calvin! haha.. Praise God!

Interestingly, as I sought the Lord in the Spirit, I was just affirmed that the Lord wants me to play a role in a ministry in Malaysia - but what is it? I don't know yet. Still seeking the Lord.

Meanwhile, I will continue, by the Grace of God, to honour my parents, grandparents and look after them and provide for them. I also pray for the gift of salvation upon my parents, grandparents, younger sister and relatives. May the Lord use me to be the vessel of blessings and means to share Christ with them. May their hearts be softened and receptive to the Love of God the Father through the Saving Grace of His one and only begotten Son Jesus Christ. Amen!

To God be all Glory, Praise and Honour
now and forevermore!
