Gotta my Pink IC

This morning, as I walked into camp.. I saw S4 - CPT Andy from 3SIR.. Hmmm He waved to me and I waved back to him as though I've known him for decades and disregarded all decorum and compliment a junior serviceman should pay to a commissioned officer.. haha.. OPPS! :p But we actually changed very friendly and warm gesture. :)

Then had breakfast with my close guys in the unit while waiting for 2WO Bashir (my MT CSM - now called Fleet Sergeant Major aka FSM) to come back from his IPPT. :)

After Encik signed my ORD Clearance Form, I shook his hand and thank him for taking care of me the last three months in Selarang Camp then handed over my Camp Pass to him. It's quite ceremonial. Ha..

After that, I went to Orderly Room with Alex (he's "understudying" me for ORD). According to protocol, I'll receive my Certificate of Service (COS), my PINK Civilian IC and a NSman booklet from a Senior Officer. So as I was waiting for all the documents to be completed, I took a glimpse at my Certificate of Service, written:

Conduct: OUTSTANDING

Performance: OUTSTANDING

Seriously, I was quite stunned. It's a very sweet pleasant surprise to me.

I thought I would have got VERY GOOD only.. Hmm.. :)

Indeed, it's this Outstanding grading is the best ORD gift any Serviceman could receive after his National Service and yes.. with this grading in my COS and a testimonial of justification for the grading from my Superior would give me put me at better advantage, should I land up in any public service jobs. :) Thanks be to God!

Thanks be to God for everything! Seriously, without the Lord's provision, I cant be so blessed. :) All glory, praise and honour be to God the Father of my Lord Jesus Christ.

Thanks be to my parents for loving me and sending me to camp without fail. They really love me very very much. Thanks Dad, thanks Mum. :')

I'm grateful to MAJ(NS) Lam (My Fleet Manager), CPT Lim CL (my Deputy Fleet Manager), LTA Ding Lean Sing (Mechanical Transport Officer), 2WO Bashir (FSM), MSG Loh SH (Ops Warrant Officer), Xin Wei and Alex (my SAF Day Parade Tranport buddies and companions in Camp).

MSG Loh also imparted certain ropes to me! Although he can't really "work" but when it comes to taking care of his men, THUMBS up! Hahaha.. Well, if he could enhance on his management skiils, it'll be terrific. He would have been First Warrant Officer by now. Anyway, I'm personally very grateful to him for all his offs, gifts and words of "wisdom".. Not forgetting his jokes! haha.. Thanks Encik!

Well, well, needless to say, life in Selarang Camp without Xinwei and Alex would be sooooooooooooooo bored and less meaningful. Although during the course of duty, Xinwei, Alex and myself would have disagreements and sometimes arguments but these just enhanced and deepened our friendships :) Thanks Xinwei! Thanks Alex! Muacks Muacks!

Also, there are a few guys in Camp whom I'm closer with and they are Jun Wei, De Ming, Kelvin, Yubin, Zhixian, Linus, Zhipeng. Thanks guys!

Of course, I cant forget my Ma'am Chandrika D/O Raghavan, a very key person in my first 2 years of National Service before my disruption. She is my superior, my confidant, my companion and my mentor in Logistics matters. Without her, my life would be like "hell" in Tekong. :') Thanks Ma'am. God bless you and your family.

Finally, ORD lor, after 5 years++... I was enlisted on 25 April 2001 and I disrupted on 14 Jul 2003. I was re-enlisted on 15 May 2006 and finally I ORD on 25 August 2006.

Now... I'm officially 3SG (NS) Goh Kiat Kuan Gary.

Just call me Mr Goh will do. Thanks! Hee..

Ok Ok, I must do this one last time. Are you ready for this!!? **clear throat**
ORD LOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
