A charming, suave, tanned 35 year old gentleman, walking confidently, holding a cup of coffee in his hand.
Yes, he is my HR Director, EM Chan.
He looked much more radiant than the last time I saw him in Shanghai.
He gave me a big grin when I walked out of the life this morning. “Hello EM!” I exclaimed, although I knew he will be in Singapore today, cant conceal the excitement to see this elder brotherly figure in company, after 4 months.
I congratulated him for his promotion (confirmation) to the post of HR Director, the highest HR office in the organization, overseeing nearly 10,000 employees spanned 3 continents and 20 over sites. For a young man like him to rise up to this post, it’s really remarkable.
I’m very glad that EM, my HR director, really appreciates me.
“You’re the best person for the assignment.” He told me as he looked into my eyes.
“Huh, me arh” I thought.
“But not enough time leh.” I replied casually, almost forgotten that he is my Chief. Hee..
Then he affirmed “For you, I will extend the deadline to 4-5months”.
“Wah, win liaoz. From 2 months no bargain (by Corporate HR), he is willing to raise the deadline till 5 months.” I am very delighted and truly moved.
Although 87,000 Chinese characters, I will try my best yah. Thanks EM!
