Lazing around at home till 4pm and slowly making my way to Brother Cam's place, I was thrilled to know that I have direct bus from my place to where he stays.. hee.. 40mins ride all in all.. Cool.. =)
Arriving at his place, WOW very nice scenery and breezy from both front and rear of his apartment, that's real COOOOL... hahaha..
I pressed on the bell, ting tong... then a voice came from above.. haha not God but Bro Cam.. "Eh.. you reached ar.." I was surprised and excited to see him standing by the window.. I also exclaimed "ehh... " haha.. so funnie..
Then he came down and opened the door.. I was thinking to myself.. wah brother you looked so unglam without combing your hair (because he just woke up from his afternoon nap).. haha
Brother Cam then gave me a big hug when I walked into the apartment.. hee.. then he showed me to the balcony and the moment I stood at the balcony, I was so mesmerised by the scenic view right in front of me.. It was so nice, standing at his balcony looking out.. The breeze.. the View.. and for a moment, I thought with me standing there.. it just enhanced the entire experience.. haha.. I am so narcissistic haha..
Then I visited his bedroom, wow.. Bro Cam is a very neat guy =) unlike my room, so messy and disastrous.. haha.. Anyway, then saw a very familiar thingy (the BE SIMPLE handphone rest) on his Hi Fi Set... and I had one from a good friend, Daniel Ng. hee.. So coincidental, Bro Cam received a similar Christmas gift too.. I thought it looked so nice..
Bro Cam gave me the yellow band - PRAISE power.. very nice.. I like the verse on it: The joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10)
To me, what pleases God will spur me on! Indeed, the verse ministered to me.. =)
Then we had warm Jasmine Tea, a packet of Lay cracket, hazelnut chocolate biscuit and orange for tea break.. very nice.. hee..
Ah hem.. As usual, Bro Cam needs to fulfil his duty as a spiritual brother to preacccchhhhhh to me.. This time, the verse is from Romans 12:2a "Dont be conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind"
Bro Cam taught me that the Lord has given me a new name from Gary to Daniel, He has transformed me spiritually. Now the Lord needs me to work on my soulishness through the renewal of mind. This was what impressed upon his heart as he prayed for me on Thursday. =)
At first, to be honest, I cant really digest it well.. but I know I have no choice but to listen to what God has to say to me. =) I just looked at Brother and smiled.. keke.. then on my way to Dhorby Ghaut to meet Richie for dinner, the Word then got rooted into my heart. Yes, I will work towards renewing my mind for the Lord.

Renewing of the mind--
I think of the scripture-Be anxious for nothing but in all things through prayer and supplication have present your requests to God and the peace of God which surpasses human understand will guard our hearts and minds in Jesus.
Or as the Message Bible puts it

I know what it is like to hang out a lot with a person I like. I start to pick up their pet phrases, mannerisms and even some of their ideas. For me that is what the renewing of the mind is like. Enjoying the presence of God, singing to God, connecting with God, I become more like God.
The challenge is to become more like God as God reveals and not how man reveals God to be. As we grow spiritually, we need to hear God's voice for ourselves and for that reason Jesus gave us his Spirit to lead us into all truth.

I am going to the beach to cycle and spend time with the Lord alone. Heee... It's summer all year round in Singapore. That's why I could go cycling at this time of the year.
