What a Wonderful Christmas

As I sat down, listening to Kevin Kern's "Bathed in Dawn Light", I was also at the same time reflecting what the Lord had done in my life for 2005.

Remembered Bro. John Ng's Message: "God loves the unlovely". =) God is simply crazy about us, His creation, each and every one of us!! Even if after this Christmas, I've forgotten everything, I will remember this: "For what God has done in my life, there is nothing I will not do for Him" Bro. John is right, the Lord has indeed done so much in my life. So much blessings, so many times of forgiveness, forgiveness after forgiveness.. =) Thank You Lord.

Christmas 2005 was terrific!

A MUSLIM friend, in her 4th stage cancer, received Christ on Friday. Praise and Glory be to God!! When I saw her worshipping God during praise and worship, I was so touched... so so so touched, seeing that childlike faith in her. Brother Francis Khoo then led her to say the sinner prayer. After which, the congregation applaused for the return of this lost child of God. Tears almost came rolling down. Sister Amanda, I am certain that our Father in Heaven rejoices with your return to God's kingdom! And we believed by faith you'll be healed if you trust in Jesus. =)

I went to Hope of God with Bro. Linus. I was expecting roomie and his gf. So glad to see roomie =) He has grown cuter hiak hiak hiak.. I praise Lord for his works in Eugene's life and blessed him with the good results. Proud of you brother Eugene and I miss you so much, Roomie. =)

The skit "Kopitiam" and "Welcome Home with God" message at Hope of God were good! I praise the Lord for Pastor Jeff's wonderful and powerful message. I was very ministered. I praise God to see that many of His lost sons and daughters returned to our Father in Heaven through this evangelistic service. =)

I rushed over to my home Church - Pentecost Methodist Church (PMC) for the Christmas Eve Service. It was a very beautiful service.. We held candles in our hands and sang Christmas Carols unto the Lord. Can you imagine how beautiful this could be when all children of God coming together as one Church to worship our Heavenly Father for His Perfect Gift of His One and Only Begotten Son, Lord Jesus Christ to us. The candlelit service in the dark sanctuary warmed my heart, despite the rush, I never regret worshipping the Lord in this manner. Father God, You truly and solely deserved all these glories.

Then I had a great time feasting with Bother Wilson, Serene 姐姐, Brother David and Little Brian at the 24 hour kopitiam near PMC. We also called Sister Huifen who is working in Shanghai right now, wishing her a Blessed Christmas and make her feel warm in cold Shanghai. At wee hour, I had a great time talking to Brother Calvin. We talked about a few friends and my issues, I really enjoyed the time talking to him. Although we ended the conversation at 3.30am, it’s worth the time hee!! =)

On Sunday, I went back to PMC for our regular 11am service. So many people, but I felt so good because I know God’s kingdom is expanding and I praise Lord that despite the messiness of things, all came to worship God. =)

Then Serene 姐姐 treated me to the dim sum second time this week. I was so pampered hor, first at Neptune Court and yesterday at Dragon Gate Restaurant. I really enjoyed the time of fellowship with David, Brother Wilson, Brian, Serene 姐姐 and Julia.

After the dim sum lunch, we had a drink at Starbucks, Harbourfront. Whenever I saw cable car, I would be reminded of a brother whom I loved dearly. I remembered that very day when I took cable in Singapore for the first time, I was with him and I really enjoyed that evening. We really had great time and whenever I saw cable car, I would be reminded of Brother Linus. Hee.. =)

After we left Harbourfront, Brother Wilson drove me to St Andrew’s Cathedral (SAC). I went there to witness Dajie’s Baptism. =) As Julia also drove, I left that I was so big shot, I actually had two vehicles fetching me to my destination. I was trying to let my imagination run wild. Haha for a moment, I thought I was some kind of big shot, two vehicles heading towards one direction, just for me. Haha… Thank You Lord for giving me this great feeling of being important to someone else. Thanks brothers and sisters too =)

Seeing Dajie being baptised, I praise the Lord and I really pray that Dajie would draw even more intimate with the Lord. A better piece of news, Brother Zhiqiang, Dajie’s boyfriend, received Christ on Christmas too!! I was so thrilled and I praised the Lord for his willingness to have Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour.

This Christmas, the Lord has done so much to demonstrate His Love for us. So how do we respond to Him? Like what Brother John Ng said, God is crazily in love with us, He loves us even when the world thinks that we are undeserving to be loved. I know God loves us, despite who we are and what we did. He loves us unconditionally, no string attached.

How do I then respond to God’s great love?

I will tell Father God: "Abba Father, for what You have done in my life, there is nothing I will not do for You, help me to draw closer to You in 2006 and do things that will please You. I love You Father God"

Glory and Praise be to God!
