Eve of School Reopens!

School is starting..

First lesson: Selection and Assessment - 0830hrs in the morning!!

Final Semester AND.. today is the first anniversary of my Shanghai Global Immersion Programme, exactly one year ago, at this time, I was shivering and battling with the chilly nite in my Shanghai Apartment - wearing 5 layers of clothings under my quilt, trying to sleep - thinking of mama and appreciating the warm weather in Singapore.

BUT I really miss my stay in Shanghai very very much!

Anyway today I came back to hostel ard 11am and decided to give my hostel room a spring cleaning as mum suggested. I thought that was cool.. The next place that needs some spring cleaning will be my room in Tampines.. Goodness.. So messy.. Haiz..

Then I helped Brother Linus to go through two chapters of his thesis.. hee.. =) Praying for you, dear brother.. Keep going. =) Press on..

After that, I decided to reward myself by taking a nap.. shiok! Hee.. =)

In the evening, I met up with Brother Linus to pass him Chapter three.. It pained me to see him looking kinda pale and haggard.. *or am I just too sensitive* hee.. Anyway, I know Father God will sustain you and see you through.. Hang in there, Brother. We're praying with you.

Daniel, Qiujie and I then went to have dinner at Macdonald's in Jurong Point. =)

I tried the new chicken Fan-tastics for the first time, IT WAS VERY DELICIOUS! hee.. =) Didnt regret ordering that, although it's kinda expensive.. hee..

Then I went to STORM at JP Level 2 for a haircut.. So happy that Brother Cam Yew's sms-es are keeping me company throughout the haircut session.

Brother Cam said I am so spoilt.. But I told him I need to package myself so that I could captivate the HR girls' hearts in my class tomorrow mah.. Then Brother had to tell me something else. Humpf. I shant share that in the blog.. hee..

Many thanks to my hair stylist Ah May for the nice hairdo. =) I am quite satisfied.

"How you want your hair to be done?" Ah May asked

"As usual lor.. my hair cant have much pattern also.." I replied.

"Just try to make me look young can liao, tomorrow school starts le" I added

"Aiyo, you already look so young, how young you want" Ah May said..

Feeling very shiok inside me, I replied "Huh, really ar"

Then I blushed, yes.... I think I did.. I was so embarrassed cos Ah May was SOO LOUD! Humpf! So paiseh (meaning embarrassing in Singapore English)

"You also looked very young mah, you looked like 20+" I said to Ah May

Then Ah May replied "Aiyo, to you, I look like 20+, to me, you look like 10+"

Wah.. for a moment, I wondered if that's a compliment to me. Then I thought I carried this joke a little too far and I think it was not very edifying so I just ended this unedifying conversation with a "Thank You". Thank God for the prompting and conviction. =)

I quickly changed topic and asked her about where she came from, and so on. Because from her accent, I knew very clearly she is a Malaysian.. =)

I always admire Malaysians for being able to take hardship very well and leave home to come to a foreign land to make a living.. Salute to all Malaysians and other foreigners working in Singapore.. Hee..

What a nice way to start the term.

Father God, I commit my final semester unto Your holy hands. Father God, please help me to stay focus on my studies and not have a competitive spirit. Let me just do what I need to do and do it as if I am doing it unto You. Lord, You've taught me that "whatever I do, work at it with all my heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since I know that I will receive an inheritance from You, the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ I am serving." Colossians 3:23-24

Father God, I give thanks for these verses and I will keep them in my heart as I embark on this semester. =) Let whatever I do be pleasing and honourable to You. Spirit of the Living God, fall fresh upon me and guard my heart and guide me as I walk with You each day. God, let me bear witness to Your Kingdom, bring Glory to You and testify for Your unfailing Love and Saving Grace in everything I do. =)
