Something to Ponder..

I want to testify for the Lord's goodness!!

Thanksgiving

Last Sunday, at my home church, my Pastor-in-charge (Ps) Rev Jonathan preached about the Crossing the Sea in the Book of Exodus. He then brought about an additional message on Baptism.. then I thought that Baptism message spoke right into my heart. The message spoke so clearly and loudly into my heart.

Then 哥哥, Serene 姐姐's husband who also knew about my struggles, tapped my lap and looked at me asking me to consider Baptism as Ps Jonathan shared the testimony of a Brother in Christ who was baptised and screamed cos he was delivered by the Lord the moment he was baptised. (Actually the point was deliverance, not so much of the screaming.. dont get me wrong..)

I just prayed and sought the Lord for His directions after the Baptism message was spoken forth by Ps Jonathan and 哥哥. My BIGGEST CONCERN is my parents' blessings in my Christian faith. I really wish to have their blessings. But I was reminded of Mary's word in Luke 1:38 "I am the Lord's servant... May it be to me as You have said."

Is that of You Lord?! Is this message of baptism for me, Lord?!

Following this, I think those who know me well would know or come to realise that I feel very comfortable with Methodism and it was always my desire to understand the Methodist Doctrine. On Wednesday evening, I had a dinner with a Sister who is a Roman Catholic. She asked me what are the differences between the denominations in the Protestant Reformation. I was dumbfounded. I dont know but I was very much interested to know. So I went to search online but was tired and lazy so I went to Zzz and didnt read on.. =p

Thursday afternoon, I asked a Sis in Christ - Sister Marie who is from Yishun Methodist Mission. She served two years as full time staff before and so I enquired of the Methodist Doctrine. I was not able to get a complete picture of the Methodist denomination however.

That evening, after cell group meeting, a cell group member Brother Ralph blessed me with a book titled "Church Membership Manual" of the Methodist Church in Singapore. He just told me to read and prepare myself spiritually. He told me he got an extra copy from his Church and wana bless me with this reading material.. Oh man.. what is this!? I was so shocked!!

Thursday afternoon, Serene 姐姐 got to call me and "psycho" me to go and fulfil my commitment to the Lord which I made for Him to study His Word... haha.. of course, I gave the Lord my commitment and I should go ahead and fulfil it. I also wana give my Serene 姐姐all the face and credit for taking the effort to call me to encourage me go..

Actually Brother Richard is fully aware of this because I was with him this afternoon. I was so relunctant to go cell group because of an issue with a Sister in Christ in my cell group.. Still quite reluctant to go even after Serene 姐姐 called me to encourage me to go cell group meeting..

And the BEST THING is that my cell group has not met Brother Ralph for cell group meeting for quite a long time because he was blessed with a baby son recently so he and his wife could not join us in the fellowship most of the time and with us going to CVC every friday.. we have not had cell group meetings for quite some time also.. So today was only my second time meeting Brother Ralph since I joined this cell group in August... oh man..

With Bro Ralph's gift, I was really stunned. Church Membership Manual of the Methodist Church in Singapore is used in all Methodist Churches in the preparation of candidates for baptism and membership into the local church. Why Brother Ralph got to show to me at this time manz... Immediately I praise the Lord in my heart, The Lord is simply AWESOME!!

Background of this Brother Ralph -- He although is my cell group member but his membership is now with Paya Lebar Methodist Church because he is working full time as an IT personnel with this Church. Hence, I dun think he heard Ps Jonathan's message in Pentecost Methodist Church aka my home church.

My stand is always very clear:

I NEVER BELIEVE IN COINCIDENCE because EVERYTHING IS BY GOD'S DIVINE APPOINTMENT!! =)

This is my thanksgiving to God for revealing his awesome greatness beyond all measures of the earth.. hahaha... too loss for words. The God we believe and worship is the Living God.. Amen!

I am praying about this and... May the Lord bestow me the revelation of this impression and my concerns.. and may the Lord's instructions on this LOUD and CLEAR!! =p Not demanding but every request I present to the Lord in prayer, petition and with thanksgiving. =)
