Blessed CNY 2006

It is a blessed CNY indeed.. =)

Chinese New Year Day 1

On CNY Day 1, I collected many ang baos and met many relatives whom I've seen for a long time since Uncle Richard's wedding last year.. Esp 二姑， 四叔，and their families. =)

Just that this year, didnt get to meet 大伯.. don't know what is he busying with.. hee.. perhaps alot of events going on in town, he has go around taking photographs..

The happiest thing to note is that I followed my family to Ah Bo Ah Gong's place. He is my dad's godfather so every CNY, we'll visit this family before proceeding to the ancestral temple. It is an annual tradition in remembrance of my paternal grandfather and junior paternal grandmother.. I was glad that my dad didnt offer me the joss sticks and my family was quite cool about it..

So I just stood there, remembering the goodness of my ah gong and ah ma, how they sayang-ed me when they were still alive while my family knelt down to pray.. =)

I was so worried the whole CNY Day 1 morning thinking what to do if dad insisted I hold joss sticks. blah blah blah... AND by God's Grace, dad didnt pass me any joss sticks and he never never showed me that black, ugly and disapproving face wor.. keke... =p

You know what? God is really GOOD! =)

Praise and Glory be to God.

Then in the afternoon, after visiting 外公 (maternal grandpa) and mummy (who is mummy? check out my next blog entry), we came home to rest... I was so shagged and sis got to take an unglam pic of me, looking so so shagged.. haha..

After I got changed, I just nua on my bed.. Replying some sms-es.. Argh then my sister got to take an unglam pic of me.. haha.. =p

Sister insisted that I should get up and take a pic with her.. Once again, it is proven that the Gohs have good genes.. haa.. :p

CNY DAY 1 Evening

I was went to meet Bro. Richard and Sis. Marie for dinner as mum and dad went out for a CNY dinner appointment and sister went dating.. =)

It was a very pleasant dining experience. Bro. Richard and Marie brought me to an Italian Restaurant - Al Forno East Coast and we had a very sumptuous Italian cruisine (SLURP!!), with a bottle of Holick (white wine) to go with the delicacies on the table.. Regretted not bringing camera.. Sister lor.. insisted she wanted to bring the camera.. sob sob..

Then we went to Haagen daz @ East Coast.. then Brother Richie and Marie wanted to watch midnite movie so I decided to join them.. Keke... So we went to Cineleisure and chose a 2.10am movie slot for FEARLESS.. super good movie..

Since we still had alot of time before the movie starts, we went over to a cosy pub outside Heeren which I think it's called Balcony.. with bed sofa =) But I didnt get to touch the bed sofa yet.. too many people that day.. nevermind, hopefully on Marie's farewell, we could go there again.. hee :p Then we went over to cineleisure to watch the movie - Fearless.. It's a very good movie!! =) A must watch!! =)

Throughout the entire outing, I didnt manage to pay a single cent at all.. so paiseh... Sister Marie said, it is alrite, you could bless other people next time.. =) And you dont need to bless those who could bless you.. cos you're a student.. so priviledged to be a student haha.. ;p

Chinese New Year Day 2

Many relatives came visiting, cousins wanted "together" (our terminology and annual traditiona healthy gambling..) haha.. So I joined them while I am entertaining guest as one of the Guest Relations Officers during CNY.. haha.. =)

Taking a break to have my coffee, and pose with 二姑 with 大姑 and 大姑丈.. See we only play small small.. with only coins on the table.. (the notes are in the pockets liaoz hee hee..)

Disclaimer: only played during CNY and only with family and relatives.. I make it a point not to gamble with friends even during CNY.. =)

Then 大姐姐，小姐姐, together with their hubbies and 5 kids came.. So I decided to take a picture with my 5 nephews and nieces.. =) Aren't they adorable!! =)

How I wish they are my own kids.. haha... =p

They have to address me as 舅舅 oh man.. made me sound so old.. when they grow older, I shall ask them to call me Daniel will do.. make me feel much younger.. haha.. haha.. =p They are my mummy's grandchildren.. My mummy first got 'promoted' grandma at the age of 48 (7 years ago).. oh man.. so young and so blessed.. =)

In the evening, I went to Sister Huifen's place with Serene 姐姐, Wilson Kor kor and Brian to visit and grab the chance to get earn ang bao.. hee.. then went over to 姐姐's place..

Wished 姐姐 a blessed CNY.. hee.. then got hold of the first ang bao from 姐姐 since I know her.. hee.. then we had some curry with bread (YUMMY!!) and watched Days of Noah.. hee.. very nice documentary but because I have forgotten to bring my housekeys with me and didnt wana mum to wait up for me so I decided to make a move first.. hee =)

Went back home, chatted with Brother Linus & Sunnia over msn then got knocked out at 2 plus am... Tired but fulfilling.. =)

CNY Day 3 was day of rest and catching up of some readings on Employment Law.. =) Nothing much... got plentiful of rest.. and happie.. hee..

I thank Father God for the wonderful CNY... Jesus, You alone deserve all glory.. =) Holy Spirit, Lord, continue to guide me and help me to walk in this narrow and straight route of the Lord!! Continue to renew my mind and let me be more and more Christ-like day by day... Thank You Jesus.

Hallelujah!! Praise and Thanksgiving be to God!!
