12:37am: I've just returned home from camp after one whole day of SAF Day Parade Full Dress Rehearsal. 18 long hours of work, today seriously no rest at all.. oh man..
Woke up at 4.45am and reached camp at 5.50am. Drove off at 6am and reached SAFTI MI at 7am. Freaky tired..
So busy with the SAFDP commercial bus arrangement. It was freaky no fun and where are the transport OIC, warrant officers and senior specialists?! Freaky didnt catch a sight of them the damn whole day, damn fed-up with this kind of working attitude.
3 Full-time National Servicemen and their 4 assistants "ran" the whole show, coordinating all the buses, dealing with all the "crabs" (Majors), "chocolate bars" (Captains), all enciks, all senior specialists and all freaking shacked out men from all units involved after one whole day of parade under the sun, in the parade square, marching here and there...
Actually, these parade contingents really very poor thing.. haiz~ felt very bad that their returning trips always got delayed.. We reflected the problems, came up with plausible solutions and tried our ways and means to rectify the problems but if the higher level not willing to be involved and take charge, seriously, what can we (the lowest life form in SAF) do?!
We reflected, we pushed our encik go feedback, he "super no balls" to do, we feedback directly, some actions taken but still not enough at our levels to do much because we've limited resources, limited experiences, so what if we're graduates (SO WHAT?! Graduates BIG f**k IS IT! Come on, we're just some 3rd Sergeants who use our brains abit more and dare to speak up against wrong foolish doings) but we don't have authorities to "fight against" the higher ranks... so WHAT CAN WE DO?! (lan lan suck thumb! damn!)
All my vulgarities really want to come out soon.. *withhold*
Anyway, it's those regulars' ricebowl, not going to mess up their lives, just hope that they could be kinder to us, the NSFs and give us some mercy can or not?! Freaking sick you know?!
The commercial bus agency's communication with their subcontractors broke down BIG TIME and caused the transport to be very screwed up BIG TIME... I think we're thinking of changing bus contractors..
At the same time, we've to pacify all the stranded units, rush the agency for buses and coordinates 50 over commercial coaches (those travelling to Malaysia type one) at two locations, together with all the other units' transport which come at one go, SO FED UP!!!
But at the end, it ended up okay because the marshallers and most units were very cooperative, following our instructions very clearly and are really really very understanding, especially Commandos, the 4 air bases from the Republic of Singapore Air Force, SAF Band, SAF Provost Unit and many other sub-units. Of course there are some very screwed up characters in some screwed up units, I shan't disclose them here... But they are really screwed up, we'll make sure their transport gets screwed up for playing punk with us! Humpf!
Well, joking.. Army Logistics shall be a group of world-class logisticians of the Singapore Armed Forces. Well-trained and professional!! =p We'll see.. ha.. I must commend my two fellow specialists and 4 assistants, they are really very helpful in bringing today's screwed up day with a good closing. At least, seeing all the units went back and I really felt very proud of this NSFs team and glad that we've survived yet another screwed up day..
Thanks be to God for watching over us.
We're all so freaking tired but it's definitely fulfilling, seeing all the personnels working close with us, cooperating with us, thanking us, encouraging us, I think it's worth it! But I'm still very fed up with those irresponsible freaks... seriously wasting taxpayers' money.. seriously screwed up!
I must thank CPT (Captain) Richard from Commandos Guard of Honour, SSG Zakaria (SAF Band), 3SG Kelvin (SAF Band), 2SG Eddie (Provost), 3SG Syafiq (Provost) for being super understanding and super helpful!
Of course, there were very trying moments with plentiful of distractions around also.. haha.. "fooling around" with some of them.. haha.. what am I thinking about?! haahaa.. but purely for socializing purpose only.. oppps..
Anyway, I'm super super tired.. Time to sleep, tomorrow will be rest and relax day with cycling, spa and dinner. Haaa... Don't care already! Rest before Tuesday comes another rehearsal.. haiz~
Something that made me happy, at least I drove in camp after 3 years without driving today.. fun!! I realise my parking skill still quite good.. but driving wise, abit more not stable because long time didnt drive, but overall, still defensive and safe driver! haha *proud*
Alas, what happened for the last 3 weeks were still some quite good lifetime experiences for me, 2 more weeks to go before actual SAF Day Parade.
Go, go, go!!
