Special Thanksgiving

Finally, received my prize for the first NTU Global Immersion Programme (GIP) self-reflection essay competition.. haha now a little richer.. =p
Being the pioneer batch and having to compete with 100+ students, I am priviledged and honoured to emerge as one of the first few winners for this competition. All glory goes to Abba Father!!!
Praise and thanksgiving be to God!! It's indeed God's provision.. for this life-changing exchange programme in Shanghai. =)
I never expect it to turn out a real competition and got prizes somemore.. haahaa.. =)
Thanks to my parents, my sister and other relatives who supported me emotionally, morally, and also financially on this one in a lifetime inernship and exchange programme that changed my life. This trip also gave me a chance to know 四叔 (4th paternal uncle) better. =)
Today, I also want to specially thank a very close and important Sister in my 3years of Uni life.. esp during those 6 months in Shanghai. =) She is none other than Meng Wee aka Dajie.
Dajie has been a great pillar of support and encouragement in my uni life and those difficult moments in Shanghai. A friend, through thick and thin. A great project mate, a good confidant, a helpful and patient HR mentor to have. She is not self-seeking, she would share with me her experience and things that she thinks I would benefit too.
I am so glad to see that dajie is doing so well now. I am really happy for her, you know? =)
So much changes when she returned from Shanghai, so much.. At least, her spiritual walk, I see God's hands working in her life, and that of Zhiqiang too.. I am so proud of dajie and of course, Glory and Praise be to God.
Thanks dajie =)
I must also take this chance to thank a friend who has been so support and a great deal of encouragement for the last 6 years since I knew her in 1999 during College days. =) She is Sister Huifen and I was honoured to play host during her visit to Shanghai in May 2005. She has been a great pillar of support and encouragement to me as well. She was the one who introduced me to Pentecost Methodist Church (PMC) where I felt much at home and I look forward to be a member of PMC in very near future, as the Lord leads. Thanks Huifen!
Later on, came also Sunny, Celia, Laura, Sian Ming, Kelvin Zhu, Grace Xiao Cai, Huiqin, Wee Keat my roomie, and many of our Shanghai GIP Cell Group and many more..
Especially Sunny who is also so good and supportive to me. He is a burden in my heart as we've been reaching out to him. I know I know very well, the Holy Spirit has to convict him. hee.. I paraphrase: we could plant the seed, but the prerogative of salvation and conviction lies with the Lord (1Corinthians 3:6). =) Will keep praying and witnessing to my beloved brother Sunny. This brother is so good to me and took real good care of me.. =) Thanks Sunny.
Also my mentors Qin Na, HR Director Earn Meng, my senior in Hi-P Tricia, and many other colleagues in Hi-P are supportive and taking good care of me =)
Of course, back at home, other pals like Daniel, Adeline, Samantha, Angeline, Eugene and many more who gave me alot of support.. =)
I must thank a very very important brother in my life and Brother James for their love, care and concern. This impt brother is none other than Brother Spidey or more popularly known as Brother Calvin in my blog entries. In my opinion, Brother Calvin is this one ever-patient, ever-ready to help and ever-encouraging brother, oh ya, not forgetting ever-corny one too keke. =p
He is a true Christian Brother who gives a glimpse of what Christ's love is. Full of respect and gratitude to this brother. Thanks Brother Calvin. :")
I can't finish thanking everyone for your love, care and concern.
Last but not least, I want to thank Nanyang Technological University (NTU) as I wrote in my GIP essay:
If not for NTU’s GIP, I would be a student without dreams, besides obtaining a degree. Young Singaporeans like us are living in comfort zone for too long, it is the time for us to step out of this security net, take some risks and venture abroad. Supposed that I am given an opportunity with promising career prospects overseas, I would grab this golden opportunity and go for it. “Why not give it a shot since I’m young?” If experience has to be gained through learning from mistakes, now is the time for all the bruises.
GIP in Shanghai has provided me with a good learning and experiential experience. In a nutshell, this GIP experience is an unforgettable and fulfilling experience and I strongly believe that it has marked the beginning of many more exciting overseas experiences ahead for me.
Having said all these, all glory, praise and thanksgiving be to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
